AMANDA FORD

YRRC COACH AMANDA FORD HAS BEEN A RUNNER FOR 25+ YEARS, A YOUNGSTOWN ROAD RUNNER MEMBER SINCE 2010, COMPLETED 5 BOSTON MARATHONS AND NUMEROUS OTHER HALF, FULL, AND ULTRA MARATHONS, AND ANY DISTANCE IN BETWEEN. SHE ALSO IS A CROSS COUNTRY COACH FOR STRUTHERS SCHOOLS.

“I have been running with the YRRC since 2010, and I have learned so much from club members and running friends. I’ve raced lots of distances from the mile to 37 miles and I’ve enjoyed some of them.

My training strategy is to run so that I enjoy it, and I think others should, too. I focus on positive thinking, mental toughness and gratitude to be able to move my body, to calm my mind. I value consistancy and prefer to keep moving. I decided to complete the RRCA Level I coaching training to share my enthusiasm and love of running with friends.
